HOW DO I PLAN FOR ANIMATION?

There are a few things you can do to prepare your projects for ModelWorks animation. A good strategy will ensure a smooth and streamlined production, and in the end you will need to request fewer revisions, saving you time and money.

1. DECIDE IF YOUR PRIORITY IS TO AMAZE OR JUST TO COMMUNICATE

Do you want your information to stand out with an unforgettable "WOW!" or is your priority just to make your information clear and appealing?

3D animation is immersive and spectacular, but much more information can be shown for the same cost with more common 2D motion graphics. Even with the smallest budgets, simple animated text can be effective!

2. FINALIZE THE INFORMATION YOU WANT TO PRESENT

Prepare all the information you want to communicate. Start by writing a script and making notes of any images or ideas that could help get the point across.

Be sure to have blueprints, sketches, or reference images to help ModelWorks build 3D models accurately.

3. GATHER INGREDIENTS THAT HAVE THE FLAVOR YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

A great way to be sure you get exactly what you have in mind is to find a few existing examples that are similar to what you're looking for. Images and videos you find online are great! Some clients have provided sketches or concept art from their graphic designers or media teams, while others prefer music or a written list of ideas and feelings they want.

Once you provide all the ideas you like, ModelWorks will stir it up like a pot of soup and draw ideas from it, and your final product will come out flavored like the ingredients you put in.
